Support for nested and private Notion pages has now been added to SiteSpeakAI.

This means you can add all your content from Notion to your chatbot to answer your visitor questions without having to publish the content on Notion.

To add Notion as a source for your chatbot, navigate to Training & Sources and select the Apps source. From here you can click on the Connect Notion button to connect to your Notion account.

You can now filter your chatbot's inbox by feedback type. This means you can easily check your chat history to find visitors that have rated your chatbot's responses either negatively or positively.

Exporting your conversations now also include the feedback so you can use this data to improve your knowledge base.

You can now filter on the type of sources you've added to your chatbot for training. This makes it much easier to see what sources and types your bot is using to respond to your visitor queries.

The source crawling has also been improved to only return URLs that have not already been added to your chatbot.

Great care has been taken to design and implement very specific restrictions and guardrails used in the internal system prompts of SiteSpeakAI chatbots. This prevents your chatbot from responding to questions that it has not been trained on, and to ensure it always stay on topic. But sometimes, you might want your bot to be a little less strict and provide information from ChatGPT's general knowledge base.

For Pro and Business plan users, you can now adjust your chatbot's restriction level to Max (the default), Low (the chatbot will still prefer to answer from the knowledge base, but could also use ChatGPT general knowledge) or None (the chatbot will use whatever knowledge ChatGPT has combined with your training sources to answer questions).

This feature is available today and can be adjusted by going to Settings -> Advanced for your chatbot.

Please note, adjusting the restrictions could allow visitors to missuse your chatbot as a ChatGPT alternative and increase your message credit usage. If you need any assistance with adjusting your system prompt to prevent this, please let us know.

You can now set the localization options for your chatbot to ensure your visitors has the best experience.

Navigate to the Settings -> Localization tab to update the text for each of the labels used in your chatbot

Just add your API key and Chatbot ID once to set up the extension, then click "Train Chatbot" to add a page or URL to your bot. Easy!

Your visitors can now rate each response of your chatbot with either positive or negative feedback.

You can also see the rating for each message in your inbox. This will help you determine if an answer should be improved.

By default, the feedback option is enabled for all chatbots. If you'd like to disable it for yours, you can do that by going to Settings -> Basic -> Enable Feedback and turning this off.

This is the first part of an upcoming feature that will allow your chatbot to improve itself based on the ratings to responses your visitors give 😀

The issue with autoplay not working on mobile has been updated. Unfortunately, most mobile devices prevent audio from being automatically played. SiteSpeakAI will now detect whether this has been allowed and if not display the play button for the user to initiate the audio to play.

For training and sources you can now click on a source link in the table to go straight to that source. Helpful when you have 1000s of source links and need to see which ones are being used.

You can now set your chatbot to display images in the responses to your visitors questions.

If the content your chatbot is trained on contains images, you can enable this option and the chatbot will include these images if relevant to the response.

Note: Any sources trained before 4 December 2023 will need to be retrained to include the images. You can do this by going to the Training & Sources option and selecting the sources you would like to retrain

Want to speak to your custom GPT assistant and have it reply back with an audio response? You can not enable text-to-speech (TTS) and speech-to-text (STT) for your custom GPTs, just like you can for your customer support bots. This is available to all plans that have access to create custom GPTs.

Last week I introduced the ability to chat to your backend API. Today I'm taking this one massive step further. I've completely rewritten the API support functionality to allow you to add any OpenAPI as a plugin to your bot and unlock new features. You can also add a database plugin that lets your chatbot retrieve information from your database to answer your visitors questions. Think order status etc.
